In an uncanny scheduling coincidence, the world’s largest Chocolate Festival will again fall on the same weekend as the Christian festival marking Jesus’ death.
The Chocolate Festival is traditionally held three-and-a-half full moons after the end of the Boxing Day sales.
A spokesperson for the Chocolate Festival described the clash as ‘frustrating’.
“More and more people these days don’t even know the true story of the Easter Bunny – how he came to resurrect our sales during a tough trading period. The last thing we need is another festival confusing things”.
