An exclusive new pet food range catering to the top end of the market will be made solely from previous winners of Australia’s biggest horse race.
A spokesperson for the new canned food – which will be called The First Tuesday In November – said consumers were demanding more information about exactly what grade of racehorse goes into their pet’s food.
“There can be a lot of confusion about the quality of racehorse you’re getting in your dog food or cat food these days. A lot of people will think they’re getting the very best for their pet, but what they’re actually getting is an 8th place-getter from a Group 3 race at Clare Valley.
“But when you buy a can of The First Tuesday in November, you’ll know your pet is tucking into only the finest Flemington stayers”.
The company says it will release a more affordable range of Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup winners next year.
