Tech giant Uber has launched an innovative new app that alerts users to hundreds of live harassment cases within a 20-yard radius of its Californian headquarters.
The new app has quickly taken off, with dozens of new cases being added daily. “So many people are getting involved,” Uber receptionist Lisa Polima said, taking out her phone. “Look! Right now there are eight sexual harassment cases ready to go, and that’s just on this floor. Make that nine,” she said, bidding good morning to her boss as he arrived at work.
The beta version of the app will include an estimated payout figure before the harassment is confirmed.
